Design, design matters, was inevitable; design is what we do day in/out but most not aware of course.
Anyone can design whether through free hand sketches or software package (welcome to the future) but not everyone can actually apply basic principle or meet specific client’s requirement or take a product through to production whilst keeping a keen eye on details.
The term ‘design’ itself is complex; dynamic environment, definitions, argument / view etc. Although good design is obvious and great design is transparent.
1. Good design is simple and has a user friendly arrangement. (Ergonomic)
2. Good design is unobtrusive. (Image isn’t everything but has a role to play in design world)
3. Good design is problem solving (form follow function)
4. Good design stands test of time (serve the intended purpose)
5. Good design is thorough down to the last detail.
6. Good design is environmentally friendly.
7. Good design does well in the competition and stands out in a competitive market. A good business means a positive profit.
